Community Support Scholarship
First and foremost we want to support our community but not every need fits into a neat scholarship category, life in a mountain town doesn’t always play by the rules. Our Community Support Fund exists for the real-world moments that matter
Funding to keep your housing
Bridging a sudden financial gap
An unexpected injury
Accessing mental health resources
or even backing a meaningful project or educational experience that shows your Hotdogger spirit! So please just ask and let us support you and our community.
Requests are confidential and anonymous (Unless you need support in spreading your vision). We will not share any names, stories, or put you in the spotlight in anyway. If you need support, or you’re trying to do something good for the Hotdog community and just need a little push, this fund is here for that.
Also if you know someone who may need help let us know, sometimes it take someone else to reach out a helping hand to show them the support they need!

Travel Expense Scholarship - $400
Not all hotdogger’s come in packs of 8! Since skin track setters, cornice-smackers, “just one more” lappers are all hotdoggers. We fund avalanche education for skiers, riders, guides, patrollers, and anyone earning their turns in the backcountry so that risk management becomes the norm, not a luxury. Safe terrain choices and practiced rescue skills don’t just protect one person they protect all of us.

Travel Expense Scholarship - $400
Hotdoggers make the winter magic happen, and we invest right back into them. Our Ski School Education Scholarships support instructors and soon-to-be instructors as they work toward professional certification without carrying the whole financial load themselves.
You can apply solo or as a group. If a few of you are chasing the same exam, maybe each of you only need a part of your level 3 exam, or your carpooling and sharing a hotel room, you’re welcome to apply together and use the funds to soften those shared costs.
In true Hotdogger fashion, we love celebrating the people who uplift our community. Unless you prefer to keep it quiet, we may share your story so the valley can cheer you on as you grow.
Whether you’re earning your first pin or aiming for Level 3, we help bridge the gap so progression doesn’t have to wait for “someday.” Travel costs and required prerequisites may also be supported through our Travel Expense Scholarship (up to $400 about the cost of CS1). You don’t need to already be a ski instructor — if you’re stepping toward teaching, certification can be a pivotal first move, and you’re welcome to apply.
